Website delivery and security

The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc. When a page is requested, technical connection data are processed, particularly the IP address, time of access, requested address, and device and connection information transmitted by the browser. These data serve to deliver and secure the website. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is a reliably accessible and secure website.

Cloudflare processes these data on our behalf under its data processing addendum. Cloudflare’s privacy notice and the data processing terms explain the processing and intended safeguards for international transfers. Data are processed only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose or legal obligations. We do not keep our own access logs; Cloudflare shows us aggregated traffic statistics without IP addresses.

Enquiries

If you email us, we process your contact details and the content of your message to answer your enquiry. Article 6(1)(f) GDPR is the basis for general questions and correction notices; Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies to contractual or pre-contractual enquiries. We delete resolved enquiries when they are no longer needed and no retention obligation applies.

Fonts, graphics, and source filters

Fonts, logos, and our own illustrations are served by the website itself. No connection to an external font provider is intended for this purpose. The website contains no analytics tools, advertising pixels, newsletter forms, or embedded social media feeds. The source filter stores the selection in the URL; the application does not set cookies for this.

We do not set cookies, and a normal visit sets none. If Cloudflare’s protection shows your browser a security check, Cloudflare can set a technically necessary cookie (cf_clearance) that remembers the passed check.

YouTube and other external sites

No published videos are currently embedded. References to our channel and original sources are external links. Only when you open them does the respective provider’s data processing also apply.

For videos linked in the future, a player is planned that loads only after you press the button and uses the domain youtube-nocookie.com. Your IP address and technical browser data, among other information, may be transmitted to YouTube or Google. This domain name does not mean that no data are transferred. The player can be removed again; this does not undo transfers that have already occurred. Embedding is offered on the basis of your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Further information is provided in Google’s privacy policy.

Your rights

Subject to the statutory conditions, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. You can withdraw consent with effect for the future. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. For the controller in North Rhine-Westphalia, this is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
